lol, I just come in from cruising about and there are 2 pigs cruising around my home town 3 out of the 4 of us got pulled, (me being the one not being pulled, coz of the grandad mobile),
anyway, one got pulled for his foglights being on, the other for a tail light out, and the other for a routine check,
Then when my mate said that there was a fight down the road (which there was), they said "dont worry its not your problem" LMAO, no its their fucking problem thats wot they r paid for !!!!!!!!!!

And people wonder why they get pulled over. Show some respect for people that have to get up early in the morning and go to work. Not everyone wants to be awakened by loud music outside their home becuase someone has no respect for anyone else. Theres a time and place for loud music and a residental area at night isn't either. Show some respect for people when you come into a residental area, I always turn it down a little. Pigs ? Sounds like you need to show some respect to the Police too.

Very wise words Jmunk.
And to everyone with super loud systems with all those sub woofers and such I just gotta ask, why? What the hell is the allure? I mean I can see it if you use your car for DB dragging at shows and competitions but it's just plain dumb on the street.
Why do people feel the need to spend time and money so that they can play they're music too loud. By too loud I mean louder than is necesary for them to enjoy listening to it themselves. No one else wants to hear your music. You don't need more than 100W maximum to listen to it yourself in your car, even at 130+ mph thats still enough to drown out the road noise. And most people get subs and just plain ruin the sound quality. I mean I'm a bassist, as far as I'm concerned it's the most important thing(well, not really, nothing is more important than anything else in a composistion but still) but it just sounds horrible when all you hear is boom boom boom. Where's the Highs? the Mids? the ability to understand what the singer is saying?
I'm all for music wherever and whenever you can listen to it. I don't do anything without it, eat, shower, drive, study, walk, hell even on the can. But why does it need to be so loud you can't hear anything else? I'm not trying to flame and I apologise if it sounds like I am, I'm just asking someone to calmly and intelligently explain the motivation behind it.

im very corteos when it comes to entering residential areas with my system, i always keep it low at nights, unless im cruising the strip or something, but never in home areas, plus when i was told to lower it it was broad daylight in the middle of a business district.
im also not like some of these losers out here who have 100 subs and no other form of sound coming from my ride, from my friends and peeps who have heard my system, they tell me its the best balance of highs and lows they have ever heard and i didnt spend much on it, its all about tuning.

He does have a very good point.
Here's my excuse for spending over 2g's on my system.
I listen to Hardhouse, House, Progressive, Drum and Bass Music. I love the beat, and the climax's of the songs are unbelievable. If your gunna pound your system you need to know 2 things.
1: People will laugh at you if you drive by and all they hear is boom boom RATTLE RATTLE. Soundproof your hatch. Your system should not rattle all the bolts loose. My system can hit close to 145db and there is not a single rattle. TIGHTEN all yours bolts and screws people.
2: Keep it down is residential if it's after 10:00. Anytime before go nuts. Think of it this way, your 40-50 years old lieing in bed trieing to sleep and all you hear is boom boom boom. Old people get headaches alot easier than most of our "new" generation of people. When you get old I'm sure you will understand.
The point of having loud music ?
Keeps you wide awake for long drives.
Passes time alot faster
If you really enjoy your music (like i do).
