gasket for s/c snout

1998 grand prix supercharged 68K miles
My supercharger is rattling. I've read that it is most likely the coupler. Seems pretty easy to replace. One question though, is there no gasket between the snout and the intake? We should use gasket maker? Thanks.

ur suppose to use a very thin bead of rtv to seal the snout to the supercharger that is correct
