My ford taurus 2003 (70,000 miles) will not allow me to pump gas into it normally. If I insert the nozzle fully into the gas tank and try to pump normally the gas supply cuts off. The only way I can fill it is to insert the gas pump only an inch and the press lighly so that only a little fuel comes out at a time. The check engine light remains on all the time and indicates a fuel line problem according to my mechanics computer. They have checked all lines and can see nothing wrong. I had the gas tank replaced with another from a taurus 2003. The problem is exactly the same. Please advise. Joy

Welcome to the forum!
This concern has been discussed a few times on this forum before, you should try searching the forum. You might try keywords 'Evap' and 'Vent' to start with. Also, you should search for the exact code that the shop pulled, probably something like a P1450.
