Im trying to find a good deal on a 700r4 trany for the supercharged 350 trany and i came across this one: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://transdepot.net/700.jpg&imgrefurl=http://transdepot.net/700.html&usg=__g6AtANF7M7QMt1l3M7x9opizIjo=&h=235&w=400&sz=13&hl=en&start=65&um=1&tbnid=I3zr8AK1UMyb9M:&tbnh=73&tbnw=124&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhigh%2Bperformance for $899 that supposily can handle 550hp.

Is this too good to be true for my engine build? :runaround:
http://www.carcraft.com/featuredvehicles/116_0609_supercharged_350ci_chevy/index.html?

Also i found this one for $1195 at http://racetransmissions.com/store/product_info.php/cPath/1_25_56_111/products_id/32

Could someone help me with selecting a 700r4 trany and what should i look for in a particular trany to help me understand if my engine will destroy it or not? Thanks.

My own experience with beefed 700R4s in Chevy trucks has been that they are not really durable in high-powered applications. Art Carr and others report better results with the 200 automatics as used in Buick Grand Nationals. And if you can live without overdrive, the old Turbo 400 is a good bet.
