I am upgrading my tool box and need some advice. matco series 4 3 bank(72W 42H 24 D)or cornwell ctbcab6424 (65.5W 46.7H 24D). after my trade in box(90's single bay snap on) and tool cart(hd matco), matco box will end up costing $3700 with 22% interest. cornwell box is 2900 with 19% interest.

I personally like the cornwell guy better only because he is in general more honest and genuine of a person. the matco guy jacked up the price of the box to 5500 from a list (online) price of 5000. the matco box comes with a promo free hd tool cart that the matco guy will keep(2 in all), inorder to get down to the 3700 price point.

We have a couple guys with Cornwell boxes at the shop. They are pretty nice boxes. I wouldn't have any problem owning one of them. I haven't seen a Matco dealer in years. I think our last conversation with our dealer was pretty much I don't sell enough at this stop call me if you need something. That was 4 or 5 years ago.

The tool guys attitude has a lot to do with who I do business with. I try to do most of my stuff with the MAC guy right know. I know he will always give me the best prices and he knows I'm always interested in buying stuff he's looking to move!

Both are good toolboxes.I have not seen a Matco dealer in my area and the last time was in 2001.He stopped going by for a reason.I had a Cornwell dealer,he went under.Mac,Matco,Snap On and Cornwell are made for proffesional use since they get opened and closed a lot.Craftsman is another story, they do not last since they are cheaply built and are good for home use only.I also have a Mac guy come in which he has a deal on the truck now,10% off anything in the truck including toolboxes, toolcarts. He is also raffling off a tool cart,a Home Depot gift card and something else.

19 and 22% interest? Charge it on a credit card, a low interest one.
