Koni Sport vs. Special vs ?

Does anyone have any experience with the difference between the Koni special and sport shocks? What about the Tokico Illuminas? What do you think would be the best option for autocrossing with stock springs, but would still give a decent ride on the street? Also, what is generally the place with the best prices on the shocks? (I know I should say struts, so sue me.)

With stock springs you might as well just get KYB GR-2's, i would get a good shock without a decent set of springs or coilovers.
