Jeep steering wheel shake

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. Everything is fine with it except when I hit the brakes the steering wheel shakes. I was thinking it may be the rotors or barkes or something in that area. Anyone have the same problem or have any ideas what it could be?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If it's smooth at all times except when you hit the brakes, I'd think that your rotors have been warped and will need to be turned. Around here it's $15 per, if they're off the vehicle, more if they're on.

Is this an issue that just started? Or has been slowly increasing?
Normally if you get shack while braking it will be a warped rotor. Rotors will warp when you get it too hot and deforms the metal of the rotor.
You might also want to look at your alignment for the possibilities of DW. DW will show while driving along then 'bam' the wheels start shacking, and then stop when you reduce speed.
