Service Engine Soon Light On

Does this mean a major tune-up or does it have to run thru a diagnostic check up? Local mechanic or dealer? Any help appreciated..............JOE

Run a diagnostic on the engine. You could have anything from a bad sensor to a misfire.
You don't say what year you have but if it 96 or newer advance autoparts should be able to scan it for you free of charge.
