it looks as if my key cylinder is broken as i cant turn my key anymore.
I want to take it to the shop but i dont really want to get it towed, so i am trying to hot wire it.
i have downloaded a wiring diagram (at the bottom of this post) and was wondering if anyone could help me with a step by step guide of doing this.
i will eventually be installing at a remote starter if anyone has any information on that, thatd be much appreciated thanks!

If the key won't turn then how are you going to unlock the steering column?

Anyway, you could consider just doing this yourself its an easy job. rent the steering wheel puller from autozone, buy the Key cyl pull the wheel and replace it. sometimes you will need to unhook horn wires, and be careful of the turn signal. im assuming no airbags on that year. prolly save a ton of money if you DIY.
i mean, its not much harder than just hotwiring it!

Thats weird.. i can still move the steering wheel though?
We had a key that wasn't for the car and had been using it for a while because for some reason it worked. We used the wrong key as usual and now when we went to start it using wrong and normal key, the wrong key wont go all the way in and wont turn and the normal key goes all the way in and wont turn. We have moved the steering wheel shitloads and rocked the car back and forth.
anything we may not have done to fix this?
and ok exalteduser should we be buying
