And its a good one I have a ford f250 7.3l diesel the other day the o/d light came on on it own. I pushed the overdrive button and the overdrive came back on light off. It did this all the way home now when I start the truck the o/d is off light is on and I can push the button all I want but the light says on. This is what I've done so far the switch is good ohm it out none of the wires look bad all this checks out fine. Nows the part I don't understand if I use my meter set on 15v and check the tan/white wire (this is the hi side of the switch that sends 12v to the TSC on the schematic when the button is pushed) it works fine no problems at all pull the meter off and its back.I pull o/d switch out of the shifter and used a jumper wire as the switch it still starts up with the overdrive off but I can use the jumper wire to get it to come on. when I put the switch back in it starts with the overdrive off but I can push the button all I want and it will not come on.The last thing I did was cut the jumper wire on the switch that went to the light for the o/d off (cut between the resister and the light ) put it back in it still starts off with the o/d off but now I can turn it on but it kick off 1 time but I could turn it back on. I checked for codes none 00 and the light stays on it does not flash.I am lost and need help bad. Thanks for any help you can give
