Clutch fan

I replaced the clutch fan in my 03 trailblazer, but it's now a constant roaring noise, like a loud fan noise going on. Is there anyway I can get my trailblazer to sound normal like before? It's annoying. My brother in law's mechanic installed it, he works at a used car lot. I think I got ripped for real. :frown:

when i had mine replaced at the stealer they installed it properly and it stopped the whirling, ticking and other symtoms. Sorry to hear about the shoddy work that was done to your vehicle. I would check connections.

either the clutch is bad, the pcm needs reprogramming or the pcm is commanding full lock up.

Guess I should take it to a dealer and have them reinstall it or do what they can to get rid of the fan noise.

If the fan is noisey it is locked up, assuming it is connected, as I said it is either bad or needs a scan/reprogram.
