Doing the rebuild on the 2.4l and for some reason, while putting the cam cover on the exhaust cam, the 2 short bolts on the front of it decided to break the lower half of it, where the rockers are inside. It literally ripped the metal away from the rest of it. I don't have a pic, but it's stupid.

Question is, where can I buy (besides a junk yard) just the exhaust cam 'holder'? Already scampered all over ebay.

Thanks

Thank you for the part numbers. Much appreciated it. Not paying those prices for them, but makes it much easier to find now. Thanks again.

No problem, and yes be careful with the bolt torque specs.

Actually the bolt wasn't even fully in. That's the thing that me and my buddy were trying to understand. 2 shorties obviously go in the hole there, but they weren't all the way down there yet. Not sure what the deal was.

if bolts don't start to go in easy then something is wrong don't force them in, most likely it was a slightly thicker bolt or it started to go in crooked. :frown:
