This is for all of you who are having instrument and/or starting issues and want to repair cracked solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board.
Several have PMd me in the last months asking what happened to a very helpful slideshow put together by 98T&C (on another forum) that shows in detail how to take the dash apart to gain access to and repair the instrument cluster. Thought it be a good idea to post the new link incase you can't find it elsewhere. http://www.flickr.com/photos/landar/
Click the thumbnail on the right labeled "98T&C dash removal" then click the slideshow icon at upper right.
Again a big thanks to 98T&C for taking the time to put this slideshow together. There are several slideshows on differing subjects on this and other forums. This one is among the best and covers a subject experienced by far too many.
DON"T FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY LEAD TO DISABLE THE AIR BAGS BEFORE STARTING THIS REMOVAL.
