3.4 motor ?????

I have a 2000 grand am that about a month ago I was having alot of clunking noises when you turned the steering wheel. I have a mechanic buddy so we put it on the lift and checked it out. We discovered that the driver side mount where the rack bolts down to the frame was rusted out and broke out the frame. It was letting the rack flop all over the place.
We decided the only option was to rig it so we rapped a chain around and tightened it down with a bolt through the chain so we could tighten it as we tightened the bolt. Been working fine for alittle over a month.
Yesterday the other mount broke and now you can turn the wheel like 3 turn each direction before the wheels will move.
Only option now is to replace the frame carrige that is under the motor.
The car is in poor shape, needs window motors, just isnt worth fixing.
My ??? is what other cars would this motor fit into other than a grand am?
This is a 2000 grand am 3.4. What other grandams yrs would take my motor?
I am trying to figure out my best option.
Thanks for any help you can offer!!

Yes this rack issue was a problem.
What happens is the bolts werent torqed correctly IMO and they get loose allowing the rack to move a little bit when you turn. Over time it gets looser and eventualy breaking.
Also you might be able to get someone that can reweld in the nuts where the rack mounts broke/rusted.
The 3.4 will work in several GM cars, both Pontiac and Chevy, Grand Ams/Aleros/Malibu 99-05, and some minivans use this engine but accessory brakets may be different.
