I'm lookin to find a good starting car at a budget of about $7,000 but would like to spend as little as possible on the base. I'm looking for a car that looks good to not just an old junker in someones back yard. this car would be just for everyday use aswell not for just pullin outa the garage to run down to the track. Any comments would be nice. and I'd prefer an AWD

Try out an old chevy.... probably an 80s caprice / impala
Or a japanese tuner.... maybe Honda Civic or if possible, Subaru Impreza

Whats so funny about a Civic being a project car??
You said you needed an everyday car.
Anyways... if your preference is an AWD, then you're better off with a Subaru Impreza.
For me, a good project car would be some old GM muscle car or a kit car.
Personally I'm not into Japanese tuners, but I do recognize that they have some good stuff. But give me an old GM muscle or exotic Italian over them any day. :)
