I just had my trans rebuilt,and the shop says it shifts fine right after the codes are cleared.But when the abs and trac off lights come on,the trans shifts are erratic and they also said it was kind of doggy.A friend told me to smack the abs pump with a hammer to loosen a possible sticky valve.So I did and the lights went off for 1/2 of a day and then it stayed on since.I tried again with the hammer and I got nothing.The code is p1571,what do you guys think?

Probably a bad electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM). The component is located at the front part of the ABS pump/motorpack/modulator assembly.
P1571=Traction Control Torque Request Circuit

If you are looking for a new GM/Delco unit send me a PM and I'll give you a source but that part is very expensive.
This shop at link below refurbs them.

Also, try Ed Morad Parts Company for a used one.
The EBTCM module is the component in black with the electrical connector. See pic.
