Well my little sprint motor would have worked great in my metro with one small mod. But now a major problem, the dang sprocket key in the crank is wallowed out awful! This little car started great, run good, it's a dang shame it is. Somebody messed her up good somehow.
I did get a new clutch kit out of it. Yeah it'll work, just about 5/16 smaller dia. and I needed one bad. Also got new rotors and pads.
I got my moneys worth out of the sprint already ($100) but I hate to see that good of an engine go to waste.

Adjunkie,
I posted a repair on this forum of this problem sometime back. To fix this problem drill 2 - 1/4 (+-) holes at 90 degrees in the crank gear. After tapping them use lock-tite and hexhead screws to secure to end of crankshaft. This worked great and saves hundreds of dollars and lots of time.

atjunkie, No I didn't, I sold the car but before I did I drove it very hard to demo that the idea works. If you have a machine shop you can do this in about an hour.

Nice Chuck, but I hope I never need it now! Went ahead an rebuilt the metro block. The sprint block will work with one mod. That is where the check valve goes. It needs drilled very slightly to take the valve, all else is the same. Hope this helps someone out in the future. Good day all.
