For about two years now, I have not been able to use my Mach 6-Disc Changer (Factory Installed) in my 2001 V-6 3.8L Ford Mustang. In September 2007, I was in the process of unloading and loading cd's into my disc changer, and it got stuck the display on my radio read CD Error and I have not been able to use the cd portion of my radio ever since. I tried using a credit card to get the cd's unstuck, I have unhooked & rehooked the battery cables to the battery in an effort to get the cd player to initialize so I could unload the stuck cd's, I have tried to hold down the CD button on the radio to try to get the player to initalize, pressed random buttons, EVERYTHING:naughty:, but nevertheless the attempta I try always seem to fail. It is just like nothing works, it was a perfectly good CD Changer and it is still a good radio, and I hate to spend money on buying a new CD player if I can get some solutions on how to fix this problem.

Welcome to the forum!

Try this. Turn key on, engine off. Turn the changer on. Pull the fuse for the unit at the fuse block. You'd think pulling the battery cable off would do the same thing, but it won't.
