Battery Problems

I have a 2001 V-6 3.8L Engine Ford Mustang;in the beginning of June, I had to replace my battery. I went from a wet cell battery to a dry cell battery of the same ampage. A day after I replaced my battery, I noticed that my battery icon was flashing on my dashboard immediately after I started the car and started driving. I took my car back to Autozone where I had the battery replaced, so they could read my battery and alternator, since I figured I had received a defective battery,but my alternator and battery were working excellent...I even had the battery read twice in two different locations but it was the same result both times. So now I am clueless on how to fix this issue, but it is driving me CRAZY!!:naughty: Immediately after I start my car, the battery icon flashes, my engines revs up automatically, all the gauge hands go back and forth rapidly, my interior lights flicker, my healights flicker (scary when driving @night:uhoh:)...I just don't know what is going on...maybe someone can help.

It's a ground problem. Check all the ground cables coming from the negative side of the battery. Especially the main body ground. Look for corroded cables. If this doesn't work run a ground cable from the battery to the firewall. Drill a hole in the firewall and use a sheetmetal screw to attatch the ground cable. I am 100% sure this is the problem. You may have to run a ground cable from the engine block to the firewall, also. Make sure the cable is long enough so that it doesn't pull loose when the engine flexes on the motor mounts. It's an easy fix. Don't forget. The negative battery terminal is the first to take off and the last to put back on.
