Red light of impending diaster (rloid)

We all know about the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) but I just experienced the RLOID. After a 70 mph trip to San Francisco with the wife, daughter and granddaughter, I had just left the freeway and stopped at the first red light when the oil light flickered. It went away when I pulled away from the intersection only to come on again then start flashing. No matter what, the flashing wouldn’t go away. Tried to find a place to pull off to check the oil. After a block or so, I pulled into a driveway. Checked the oil –OK. Removed the oil cap to see if there was lubrication-OK. Continued to my destination with the red blinking light. After a couple of beers and 2 hours, back to the car for the trip home. The oil light was off and stayed off until just before arriving home when it started blinking again. At home pulled the oil pressure switch and after dissecting it determined that the rubber seal separating the oil side of the switch from the switch side had failed and allowed oil to enter the switch side. It had pressurized that side preventing the oil pressure from the engine from opening the switch. After the engine had been off for awhile, the oil on the switch side bled back to the oil side and everything worked great until another 70 mph trip home when it came on again, A new switch cost $7.00 and the problem was fixed. (Honda makes the light flash just in case you don’t see the steady red light).
