Please excuse my noob terminalogy, I am pretty novice when it comes to cars.

I just bought a used 2002 honda civic hx, it has a blue LED that keeps flashing when I turned off the engine, the blue LED is on the left side of the dashboard, next to the "cruise" button. What the hell does the flashing mean? Also, the "coinbox" is broken, what is the coinbox for anyways? Is a broken coinbox an indicator that the car is stolen? Thank you so much.

Sounds like an alarm indicator LED or maybe just an LED to fake having an alarm. You could try opening the doors while it is flashing to see if anything happens (not sure how you would stop the alarm though if it goes off)

The coin boxes are easy to break if you leave them down and try to get out/in the car.
