Shift points

I've got my Beater set up to shift 2-3 at about 5650 RPM (84 MPH). I get a slight bit of what I feel is a barely detectable slip at the higher RPM 2-3 shifts. The shift feels firm and positive, but not quite as neck-snapping as I'd expect. I haven't played with the PWM settings to bring up line pressure for the various shifts, just the RPM vs LV8 and the MPH vs LV8 shift points. I'm just wondering if any of you who might be programming your own have done more with the PWM and line pressure or have had decent trans life with the factory pressure settings. I'm wondering of the factory parameters have softened the shift under high LV8 to help save the driveline, or if I need a nine-disc direct clutch pack.

Nothing? I figured at least a couple of tuners would post thoughts. Perhaps I should have posted in the Nonspecific forum...

I don't think many caprice owners shift from 2nd to 3rd at 84MPH...

Mine is vacuum modulated so no tranny tuning. I shift mine at a higher rpm too.
The pcm tries to react to every slight fluctuation in MAP, you pull vaccum at high rpms and it will lower line pressure. The vacuum modulation results in more steady line pressure.
