95 Cutlass Supreme SL, Sideview Mirror

It's a four door, 3100, 95 Cutlass Supreme SL that I inherited at 60,000 miles and now has 112,000. The outside drivers side rear view mirror is damaged and I'd like to replace it. The drivers side door trim has a hole where probably a mirror control once was (not during my ownership) or a trim plug if the option wasn't installed? How can I tell if I have an "electric" control or a "manual control". It looks like the same hole would be used for either type of control. I've had my share of "jammed door" problems and, as a result, the door trim is pretty well bashed up. I'd rather take it off again only once - to install the replacement. Rather not have to invest in a manual at this point in the game. Thanks for any information!
