Ok so here's my idea. This should help me a little along with helping most of the newbies with civics. As far as modifying your engine/tranny goes, i figured all of the different mods can be given certain levels. Try to list the major more common mods in a level up to 5. For example,
1. Air intake, muffler, etc...
2. Header, cat-back, etc...
3. blah
4. blah
5. blah....

Including things like coilovers, a turbo set-up, Nos, motor swap, strut bars, cams, lowering springs, supercharger...blah blah blah.....ya get it?
I think this could help out a lot of people that don't want to waste money on modifying there engine and blowing it or have the mod do nothing casue the car couldn't handle it or something. Anything but interior or exterior mods, just engine.

I don't believe in the term "rice or ricers", but how many "ricers" (as you refer to them as) do you know that waste their money on an intake, fat muffler, and a battery tie down that can't hold their own in a race?
So go ahead, knock yourself out and put whatever mods you want down and put them ahead of other mods according to priority, efficiency, how well they work with other heavy mods.

Oh and then as a joke make another list that goes something like this:
1. Washer lights, etc...
2. neon muffler tip, etc...
3. oversized stickers like "H" or "CIVIC", etc... You know what i mean.
4. huge aluminum spoilers, etc..
5. a million gauges that measure things they don't have

ranking on how high of a level ricer you can be...

Try to help everyone out here by following the first list and then as desert you may have a crack at the second list.
Thanks for the help.

That is the performace way, there aren't alot of tuner cars where I live,(although we are increasing) so I decided to go with body kit, paint, rims, exhaust, and now Iam going with performance, after all can't drive a rice rockte with 1000$ worth of neons and stickers

i've owned my civic for 2 years and recently got inspired to do something to my dx. after not much research i purchased an injen IS .. later after reading forums like this one, discovered i should've gone AEM CAI, but nontheless maybe i'll get the CAI extension later.. bleh.

anyway .. the injen IS is installed and works great and had fun doing it. it even sounds better at idle (which isn't something i've read to expect), but it also has a loud whistle at a certain point while accelerating.. its like right before the new beefier sound kicks in. i've only drivin a couple miles on it wondering... is this common? is it too much to hope that it'll work itself out?

oh really? then i should go out and by one so my battery will stay put. I think once i by one i can beat that Camaro down the street...

I got one of those mufflers until i save up and buy a full exhaust system. I ain't anything too big like i've seen. I swear there's this one at school that i could fit my head into.

Anyways, anybody gonna help contribute to the main objective of this thread?
