Strut bars are those bars that you see go across the top of the engine in a car. They attach at the tops of the shock or struts mounts. They help in making the suspension work closer together and help stiffen the chassis.

Tie bars do the same but attach near the axles or around the sway bars area.

I believe that is it.

It wouldn't hurt to get them, they do help. You will notice a difference in handling.

Strut bars really help a suspension with stiff shocks and springs, keeps the frame/strut towers from twisting as much.

Ties bars are really not going to do much unless you have sway bars installed.
