OEM Intercooler Replacement Options?

Hi,

I have an 03 2500HD Duramax and am looking at replacing the original LB7 intercooler with an aluminum one for more efficient thermal dissipation. Can anybody lead me to one that provides greater CFM capacity and thermal dissipation? Personal experience with the product would be preferred but at this point anything seems better than the $1200 price the crap I've been seeing.
