Did you replace the bulb socket (that plastic thing the bulb fits into), as they can become corrupted over time and not ground properly. Pretty cheap at Bavauto or Pelicanparts.com. Or if you have found someplace that can beat their price and shipping deals let us know.

Using a test light check to see if you have power at the socket. If you do next check your ground. Most likely a bad ground
