Will I be able to remove the old ball joint with a pry bar and a hammer as I have done in other vehicles? I only ask because the car has the strange strut cylinder assembly where the ball joint attaches to. There isn't solid metal to hammer on while applying pressure as I have done with other cars.
The help is appreciated!
Thanks.

Factory ball joints will be retained by 4 cold-press rivets. They'll have to be drilled or ground off from the flange of the ball joint .. you will then be able to pry it off the steering knuckle and knock the rest of the rivet out of the flange of the knuckle allowing you to bolt the replacement in.

Or if you are wondering about just seperating the ball joint from the steering knuckle, then yes, I was able to apply pressure with a prybar, and tap the knuckle with a hammer which caused the ball joint to seperate from the knuckle.
