Ball Joint Torque Specifications

I'm hoping someone can confirm the torque specs for me - because I don't trust what I'm reading in Chiltons...
Relevant Info:
96 Chevy Lumina APV
3.4L engine.
I just replaced both side ball joints - and now both sides are knocking (clunking if you will) occasionally. I'm positive it's the ball joints - didn't have that familiar clunk before I replaced them... so I suspect the torque is not right.
Further - because these are 'replacements' - the ball joints baseplate is bolted to the housing with bolts now, not rivets - and I could not find a spec for those anywhere.
So - I need spec for the main ball joint nut, and the baseplate nuts for the ball joint (that replace the rivets).
Can anyone hook me up?
Thanks.
