:banghead:Wow,
I've read alot of posts like this. I've tried most of the cures. here is what my is doing. My speedometer does not work at all. I checked the pigtail first It was nasty and corroded. I replaced the pigtail and cleaned the VSS side of the plug. put it back together and nothing. So I pulled the VSS the link rod was in place and not broken. I cleaned the VSS and before placing it back in the tranny I had my daughter sit in the driver seat and watch the speedo while I turned the VSS by hand with the drive rod. The speedo worked. That tells me that the the VSS and speedo are working. So I put it all back together, yes I got the rod in without dropping it. Pull out to see how fast I am going and nothing. Now I am at a loss. Is there anything I am overlooking other than speedo drive gear in the tranny. I am assuming that is my problem. If so can it be changed without pulling the tranny and is drive or driven gear more prone to tearing up. Also, as a side note how difficult is it to put syncro's in a honda tranny
Thanks
