P14 ECU (Prelude Si '92-'95) in a D16A9

Hi everyone, I have a 92 Civic with a D16A9 engine. My ECU (P29) died on me a couple of weeks ago and where I live this car is not that common (I live in Peru) and can't find a replacement for it.

My mechanic has told me that he has found a P14 ECU from a 92-94 Prelude Si Non-Vtec and that it might work with my engine if wired correctly.

Would the P14 work? would it damage anything in the long run? will it make my car run badly or, who knows, run even better than with the original P29?

Thanks in advance for any help provided...
