This is the 2nd thread for this amt '67 Charger. My brother 'viccario' started one a couple of years ago. I am now in the 21st century and this is my first attempt at creating a thread. If you refer to the original thread you will see that I had a disaster with the paint and had to strip and re-paint. I think it was because the primer I used was plastic primerwgich cause the top coat to have lots of hairline cracks. Anyway second paint job seems to be holding up ok. I've now done the bmf and the engine's about 70% there. Just the interior, final detailing and putting together to go!
This my first effort at uploading photos so hope the following come out ok:

Hooray, my brother has finally entered the 21st century and got himself a laptop! All you need to do now is sort out the images so that they are sized correctly instead of annoying thumbnails! Hopefully you can get that sorted soon.
The Dodge Charger is looking excellent, no problems with the new paint! Get it finished now!
Just noticed you sorted out the images, well done!
Here is the original WIP thread that I started some time ago on my brothers behalf that shows his previous progress and the paint issues.

Surprised no replies to this I think it is looking pretty good and it is his first thread too, I'm sure he would appreciate any comments!

Very clean work!
It looks great to me. Did you paint the chromed parts and the window trim or used BMF?

Nice start... loks like that charger is a Rambler Marlin Look-alike.

Thanks for the comments. I'm a newbie here so all comments (good or bad) welcome. Please don't hesitate to comment on my other WIP's. I know I put too many on at once, but I got over excited as it was my first day of being able to upload stuff!
jano11: The chrome trim is BMF. I find BMF really tricky but I think it's worth the intense concentration, sweating & headaches! I aim to give the BMF more depth by adding some black. I have already done this around the front window quarterlights and the wipers, I think it was fairly successful.
If family time allows I'll get more done soon and will upload more details.
Once again, all comments appreciated.

Looking goog I think!
I've built the Revell/Monogram '67 myself and that was a breeze to get together, how's the AMT to build?

Thanks for your encouragement. This amt kit is a 'Street Machines' version and only came with chrome centrelines which I didn't think looked quite right for the look I was after. I wanted to get the feel of the early 1960's / 1970's saloon (touring car) racers (Trans Am series in USA), so i decided on a clean look with the matt black bonnet with the Fujimi deep dish Watanabes. Quite a lot of mods were required to get them to fit, especially the rears. I toyed with the idea of painting them gunmetal but convinced myself that silver was better.
proosen: Yours looks great, love the colour. The amt version is pretty basic and all the main parts (chassis, interior tub & body) all sort of 'float' around, nothing is very precise, but I don't mind the lack of detail as it makes it easier to lower the ride height. The body needed lots of cleaning up and some filling, but I think amt always do a convincing shape and it seems to have the right proportions. But saying all that I think the Revell version is the better bet with much better detail but one wasn't available when this version was up for grabs!
