You can put together your own kit of individual parts and build it how you want and possibly get a better price on individual components than a pre-built kit... :2cents:

Umm well, this is a long term project, i have the body of the car, and an engine stand and all in my garage, i plan to buy an engine here shortly and rebuild it as best as you can, i mean if im gonna put this much work into it, i want the best stuff, so, id like to have the best, even if it means saving up for each part one at a time lol...
so, lets say, top of the line upgrade kit, for the gsx(that doesnt make any difference when searching right? since its a 4g63 too?)

i do see all of the individual parts you can buy to complete the install process...just cant seem to find a complete kit...oh well
so, just to put it in perspective for me, since i know a lot about the hahn 16g and 20g....how does this monster compare to these?
im wondering, is this streetable? i still havent quite grasped the concept of being able to read turbo specs and tell whether or not it is...
i need to do some homework:tongue:

the HTA technology is really awesome it has been proven to spool faster and make more power than the standard dual ball bearing turbos which in themselves have been known to spool in a light breeze for their size. this should see full boost by no later than 4800rpm. I wants it bad.

The GTR35 is great for street/strip use. I don't know too much about it but see a lot of people on Tuners run this everyday. With the proper mods and a good engine, you can put down some very series power. The good thing about buying the parts individually compared to a kit, is you can get whatever you want and not forced to use a specific piece that comes with (ie manifolds). You can get whatever you want then.

ok,
so, ive neer had to match a manifold to a turbo outsider of a kit, any rules on that? or will most turbos(or this one in particular) fit most of the manifols made for the 4g63, or do i need to pay particular attention to make sure they line up correctly or...

T3 manifolds will match up with a T3-flanged turbo.
T4 manifolds will match up with a T4-flanged turbo.
Mitshu manifolds will match up with a Mitshu-flanged turbo.

steviek
08-09-2009, 07:53 PM
you can get it in t3 or t4
steviek
08-09-2009, 07:54 PM
or you can go with a mitsu flanged one called the dsm86

does it really matter which way you choose to get it?

t4 is most efficient and mitsu is least

Ya just look at the sizing of the holes on each one. Mitshu is a small hole and the T4 is a nice big, wide open one ;)
Doesn't the GTR35 in a divided twinscroll?

Do they make one with a 30 hot side? cuz theres no way i could handle that late of a spool for my DD. Plus ill be running meth so that will help me make power out of a smaller turbo.

hta 3076 r thats kinda the one i want. And you can get their custom o2 housing too.

Why not go with a holset turbo? You could run the HX35, full boost around 4k and can push 500hp
