lol, the name of the thread means, ive got all the cables and plugs and drivers and everything, and i got my program working to begin tuning...
it would be nice if a few of you could pop in with advice to help me on my way...lol
i have the table pulled up with all the 0's, which need to be replaced with other values of coarse, and i found the 3-d fuel map...
if anyone is curious and would like to chip in advice, the program im using is split second...

Start off by doing a log of your current tune. Start with a WOT pull. Analyse your pull and add/subtract the fuel on your table to fix your afr. Use small adjustments and then do another pull, tweak the map some more... until you are satisfied with your tune. You should also be monitoring knock while doing these pulls. If you plan on running high boost you need to start low and build your way up. I usually start at 8psi, then 15psi, 20psi, etc. So by the time your done all of your boost areas of the map are good.
I am assuming your running this piggyback with the stock ECU so I wont go into tuning the out of boost areas. Also if I remember correctly your not tuning spark either.

im stuck in a spot....got everything up until the point of plugging it in...
had to get a special cord, usb to serial connector...which came with a driver disc to instal so itll be compat. with the laptop....only i cant get it installed thus the coputer wont link to the controller....
:banghead::banghead::banghead:
however, thanks for the info, that exactly whati needed to know...
but, also, does the car have to be running....or in the on position, or keys completely out, does it make a difference when you go to change the map around?

I have no idea. I have never used that system before. But it depends on how it set up. When I tune megasquirt and emanage I will usually build the fuel map inside and then go load it to the ECU when its finished. If I am making small adjustments dialing in the afr then I will just sit in the car and let it run since it only takes a min to review the log and change fuel settings.
