Its not about power gain, its about cooling the combustion chamber to be able to run higher boost on lower octane.

If he tunes for it he will notice gains. It allows you to run more timing and lean out the afr while cooling intake temps. If he doesnt tune for it he will lose a little power since it will make him a bit richer. With a tune its good stuff, I love my meth kit:)

Meth does not make you run richer. Meth is a knock deterrant. It allows for more boost on lower octane.

Im injecting it into a tb spacer and before I tuned I ran an 11.7:1 AFR and when I sprayed it on the same tune I ran 10.9:1. I now command 12.3:1 to get my desired 11.7:1. I'm on a 5gph nozzle, so not too big but still adds a fair amount of meth. If you inject more fuel to the fuel thats already going into your engine, you will run a tad richer. Not big time, but noticeable on a wideband.
Stealthee is right though, it lowers charge temps so you can run more timing, and of course boost without getting knock.
