2001 Chevy 1500

How do I replace the Ignition switch. the old one does not turn any more the Key and the tumblers are both worn too much. Even tried a new Key cut from the VIN. and still no luck.:banghead: Any help would be greatly appreciated.

with some air pressure blow out the key hole...then add some lock lube [thin oil/alcohol with graphite...] then try new key with this lube on it...if no go ,, then the LOCK cylinder needs replacing..not the ignition switch...
