Xmod wheels on 1:24 builds

Any one thought about doing this? the sizing is pretty much perfect, and i had an old set laying around so i decided to try them out:

here is end result of a quick paint..basically they can be worked with if the proper time is taken, i just rushed through these in about an hour just to see if they fit or not and how they look.. if i ever do another set of these i will make them look much more cleaner and fitted nicer

The first-gen Xmods wheels look better IMO due to the hub design but they're harder to find now. I cut open some 60-series Goodyear tires for the rear. The fronts are widened Xmods tires. This was before I had a lathe so I used styrene for the rim barrels.

Never did finish this model. I made a quickie slammer out of it for an upcoming show back in 2004(?) but now I can't find it.

yea i was looking for some xmod wheel i had that had a lip on them rather then just being really flat faced, but they look much better then stock and i didnt have time to hassle with making a barell for the rears b/c i already glued in the wheel stud and would have to shorten it quite a bit b/c the rim would not fit with the offset it has on them, but thanks for the pics, i gues i wasnt the first to figure this out :)
