95 chevy caprice tranz

i just put a aluminum head lt1 that came out of a z28 i had the brain reprogramed but since i had it reprogramed on the high way when i kick it down to the flooor it will not shift out of 2 gear but if you let off the gas just a little bit it will shift into drive im not sure if its a solinoid or if it is th brain because i had the shift points rased and the timeing advanced a little it will red line and jump off the govener when all the way to the floor

shift point should be the pcm..
this issue should be OK....just let up slightly for up shift..
what is the HP on this LT1?

well it is about 325 but i have had modifycations done to this motor to get 325 horse power

Sounds kind of like the shift points were raised but the rev limiter was not.

This could happen too if the tranny is slipping and the car never gets up to the shift MPH before it hits the rev limiter.

Since it started after the reprogramming I would look at the pcm though likely some oversight in the programming.
