2004 malibu classic odo and speedo not workin.

Replaced cluster you can read the miles but it does not turn. And the speedo does not work. But all other guages does including the tach. HELP!!!

Is the needle stuck below the pin?

I am assuming that the car you are looking at is not a CAN compliant car (I believe that was not, but not sure)
Chances are that if you do not have a check engine light, the cluster is bad or the wireing is buggered up via a bent pin or a bad pin. ( is that cluster new?) Just to make sure that you don’t have multiple problems like the Mil is not working I would jack in scanner and take the car for a drive check to see if the MIL was on and monitor the speed sensor. A good scanner will read out in MPH or KPH. That checking OK, I would back probe the drive ckt to the cluster to make sure that it had a good signal from the BCM/ECM. To power the Speedo/OD. You can actualy do every thing on jack stands. Keeps you from getting pulled over for dialing a cell phone
