Ok, so my wifes 02 Alero has around 110,000, and about two months ago it decided to stall on her on her way home, and has done this several times. I finally got it to stall on me tonight, i had to drive it at highway speeds for about an hour, which is the usual scenario for it to do this. No check engine light or anything like that. It will jerk one good time then the engine will slow down to just under 1000 rpms then just stall. The car has to sit for a few minutes before it will start. We had it in teh shop for this and they found nothing wrong. I'm at wits end. Any help would be great.

Hey, you're problem sounds a lot like mine (2000 Alero stalls at highway speed), only mine has progressed to the non-starting phase. If you've found and fixed the problem please post it, I'm still trying to figure mine out.
Do you have the 3.4L V6 / automatic? Is the gas mileage still OK? I'm obviously no expert, but I've been replacing things that should be done anyway when you're over 100K miles (or sooner):
Spark plugs / wires.
Fuel Filter.
O2 sensor.
Ignition coils if suspect.
And clean the battery terminals; Do fuel pressure regulator "FPR suck test" described elsewhere on this forum; Check fuel pump pressure, could be weak/dying fuel pump.
Hope this helps.

Unfortuneatly no idea as of yet, we just dropped the car off at a small garage, he's going to play with it a little more than the dealership garage did, hopefullly. When he gives us the news i'll let you know, but he suspects a fuel problem.......
