Welcome to the forum!
I'm not sure about where you live, but here in the United States most of the auto parts stores offer a service to read the diagnostic codes for free. In 1996 the US required all cars sold here to comply with the On Board Diagnostics version II (OBD-II) standard and all cars sold here since then have the same connector and compatible protocols which made it easy to have one tool that can pull the generic diagnostic codes from any car.
I'm not sure if Suzuki sold where you live would vary much from that protocol, you might be able to find a store that will also read the code at no charge. If not, then you'll have to visit a repair shop to get the diagnostic code read out.

The most common cause for a "check engine" light, or CEL, is a missing, loose, or faulty fuel cap. If the fuel system can't keep a certain pressure in the tank, then the light will come on. Tighten it, or check the cap for a cracked, loose, or missing o-ring. Then check the rim of the fuel refill hole for excessive dents, gouges, or cuts, that would cause damage to the o-ring or prevent a good seal.
