Anyways, so the engine was dropped off yesterday, and he ended up getting not just the block, but the head as well. Anyways, he has already taken the head off and todays project at least while I was there was to get it up on the engine stand, and we also were gonna attempt to change the brakes on my friends 88 caddy seville. I got 2 more finals tommorow so unfortunatley I couldnt stay around and help with the brakes ... anyways on with the pics.

I'll probably be selling the B18C1 block sometime. I'm gonna use the head and the tranny for the CRVTEC project, but the rest is up for grabs. It'll hit eBay sometime I guess. Thanks for posting that pic Melt. Geez you just have to make me look stupid in front of everybody. Question: what bolts do you use to secure the engine to the engine stand. I got the engine without the tranny so I don't have the tranny bolts.

BTW I'll be selling the B20 head, intake manifold, IAC, throttle body, header, heat shield and some other stuff. If you're interested let me know

you didnt think id let that pic not get posted .... we should ask that guy who freed the bolts you broke off in the intake manifold what he used, he would know ... matter of fact I think my dad might go swing by his house later, so I will be sure to roll with him.

we aint talking about no d15 here though ... it wasnt too bad, me and another guy lifted it up while tim tried to align the bolts the first time, then we put it back down ... then me and tim lifted it while another guy aligned the bolts, then tim decided to help him and my back still hurts :finger:

Sup York2600:wave: . Damn your gonna have some serious cash into that car but it will leave Melt in the dust.(Melt's car isnt even fast enough to make the dust fly off after he gets dusted!,lol). Looks like a hell of a project man, but its gonna be sweet in the end.

See it's posts like this that make me feel like a complete idiot. That's a much better way to do it. What bolts do you use though? The tranny bolts? BTW I'll have some nice pics of the oil line once I'm done. Does anyone out there know of any shops in the bay area that enlarging of the dowel holes necessary for the b20/vtec? I'm still looking for that.

man im not putting you guys down or anything or judging your talent as a mechanic but b20/vtec is not something you should take lightly. is something that takes time and is pretty complicated. even for people who are experienced in it. im thinking this is your first time doing this. there is alot of stuff you have to keep in mind when doing this and alot of stuff you need to do to make it work. alot of those stuff i dont know i let my mechanic handle that. but anyway good luck with the project. and hope everything goes well.:D

Just wait ... one day I will have a phat swap or a tighter car.

Besides, he left me in the dust when it was stock.

Dude, why didnt he just hold it while someone else bolts it up? I meen, it aint heavy... Shit, I picked up my entire engine (Without tranny) when it was full of fluid and walked it into my shop and set it on the bench... I did get coolant all over me, but that was half the fun.

I had to buy bolts to get my ZC on the stand...the threads are metric...you need to check whatever the threads are for the tranny and match up the threads..this info should be avail. in a B-series manual...then you measure the bracket you are bolting to the block for the length of the bolt..I found mine at Lowe's, once I knew what to get.
