ok i got one of those testors bottle airbrushes, i was excited to use so i spent all day preparing like taping n shit.. so i got first layer of silver on not using thinner.. it went on fine and stuff but i ran outta paint so i went to store and picked up some paint and thinner, used about a 25% of thinner and it ate away at al the paint that was on the first layer and it took all the paint and brought it to the center
I HATE IT :@.. btw i think it can be fixed without stripping cuz im painting frum the inside so i guess i can just do thin layers now.. i ono

okay this is for rc body for one you need to make sure you get the right paint and not the normal model paint.
Right paint to use on rc bodies arepolycarbonate paint, these paint will essential bond with the plastic so make sure is the right paint you want and if you make a mistake quickly and I mean quickly wipe it off or the body will be gone for good.
Second you do not need thinner on these paints
Havind done so many rc bodies I know from experience that the best type of paint to use are your createx paints, tamiya poly paint are good for one tone cars. quick and easy.
Hope that helps

Do you mean Model Master 14.7ml ? If yes, it's already thin for airbrush, no need to use thinner.. I use only this with my air brush, it's perfect, but the pain is just a bit fragile... think about a clear coat after..
Edit: this is what I use all the time:

When A r/c body is paited with standard paints and not polycarb paints esp lexin bodies the paint will just crack up when the body is twisted or flexed and will then look like shit Tamiya poly in spray cans are the best.

ok well thnx for help, i will no next time... i did the body, it looks amazing but there are some swirlies in the hood n roof where the paint was moving around, i didnt figure i needed to sand but in the end it gives the car a really cool custom paint to it, i cleaned up and paint that got under the tape n stuff.. i am aware of cracking but im sure this body is just temporary, im looking into somthing like a gt car.. lemme go take some quik pic

Heh! When I read the title "Dammit" and I saw that porkchop was the author, I knew it had to be a problem with either Testors, or Fujimi!
BTW, cool looking RC, how much do you spend on it monthly?(maintainece, mods, etc.)

well this guy at ma dads work bought it for his son about 10 years ago, his son died and he had it sitting around so he gave it to me, i bought a new body(1st one was an explorer) 2nd was a big yukon looking truck and this is the third, i fully restored it, redid suspension n stuff and the total amount ive spent on it is about $100 over a couple of years. and btw it is a gas powered engine so the jet fuel that it uses is pritty expensive.. im looking forward to getting a street car and buying new rims, suspension so i can slam, and a bigger engine. as it stands the thing does about 80km/h in like 3 seconds
