2002 neon a/c pressure problem

My 2002 neon has a low side pressure of 80 psi with just one can of refrigerant added after draining and vac out. The compressor does come on air will get cold but engine bogs, can this be a expansion valve problem.

Yes it could, a high pressure on the low side is a sign of a clog.
