First things first, if you dont have a book for the ranger, get one. Factory books are great but spendy, chiltons and haynes are fair, at best but would have most of the important info you will need. If you know the basics, label and bag everything as you remove it, follow the procedure in your book and take your time, it would be a piece of cake. After you get your hands on a good repair manual you will know if it is something you can handle. Good luck. PS A lot of miles? Might as well pull both heads and freshen them up.
