The Fuse box

ok so i have a typical 80's Bimmer electrical problem...I think my fuse box is completely shot, The damn car won't start, it cranks sometimes and sometimes it doesn't but it rarely turns over and if it does I have to do all kinds of fancy footwork to keep the damn thing running. Its a 1988 535is, she originally died a few years ago and I set her aside for the time being. I am finally ready to begin the repairs necessary. If anyone has any idea where I can find the fuse box or if anyone has an alternative idea I'm willin to try anything, I just need to get the engine in running order so I can pull it to drop into a 3 series to be named later...Any input you have will be greatly appreciated thanks
