No, but NASCAR...ugh..I just can't seem to be able to watch it, I don't know what it is. I'm sure it would be like watching ballet or something, I just can't stand it. I mean it was fine when I was like 10 or 12, but now I'm 27 and jeez I can't bear it, sorry:cool: but it's not boring, but something just makes me change the channel.

If you can actually compare NASCAR to ballet then I think you may have the wrong channel on.
If you do in fact have the CORRECT channel on and still think it's boring, WHY are you in THIS forum????

I really only enjoy watching the two road tracks they do per season. I follow NASCAR just to see what the standings are, and I watch the highlights. I get to see all the important stuff like accidents and who won and stuff that way.

You watch the race to see the wrecks? What a sicko. I can tell you from being a paramedic and firefighter for 14 years that automobile wrecks are one of the most disgusting things you'll ever see.
Wanna take a ride with me next time I have to pull a dead baby out from underneath the dashboard after the mother wakes up fifteen minutes later and screams "where's my baby???".

I like NASCAR because I know many of the drivers. It's also a test of skill, not just driving around in circles.
Dick Trickle used to say that driving Bristol was like flying jets in a gymnasium. How's that for a bit of a brain fry?
When your favorite driver is ahead or behind by a fraction of an inch, you want to get out there and push the car to help.
I can't say that I like road courses-you can't see the whole thing but nothing beats the thunder, the paint trading, the sly moves and the glorious finish.
Why watch a race where the cars go so fast you can't even tell who's who? Or if they happen to scrape tire to tire-there's two totalled cars. NASCAR let's you keep going-even if you're not the fastest!;)

Hey! I know!

I have seen some pretty nasty accidents with people missing heads, intestines coming out, it goes on. I have been in a couple of nasty accidents myself. I know how bad it is.

Why some people can't take a damn joke is beyond me.

Sorry, I didn't realize that was a joke.
I thought the joke was the car that you were showing! :p

One of the main reason I stopped watching NASCAR was because of the car wrecks, I mean its like watching a demolition derby. It became redundant. Most of the crashes look like they happened on purpose. Its like if the richer teams own the smaller cars at the back and keep them on just to cause yellow flags or even crashes to take out competitive cars.

Oh really you say? This coming from a person driving a Saturn, some of the ugliest cars on the road. Not to mention that they are made of plastic. If I were driving your car when I got in the accident I did with my LeBaron, my bet is that I would be dead.

Push? It would have blow the plastic doors right of that crap end Chevy you have there.

Absolutely nothing. Mine had 152,000 mile with all the original parts and it still took 13 PSI of boost just fine and could still whip the shit out of most any car I came up against.

I don't know what this guys problem is, but this little noob better watch it. I don't like people that have to act like little assholes. I am going to keep my eye on you just in case you decide to a bigger asshole than you already are.

Yes, NASCAR is boring. Cars going round and round and round and round in circles on a flat track... = boring. You can watch it if you like it.

On the other hand, though I don't LIKE car accidents, after being in two I'm utterly fascinated by them, not from the "killing people" side but the way the massive forces exerted in collisions affect the structure and appearance of the car. I spend a great deal of time looking up crash-test results, and pondering them. It's amazing, the incredible differences in occupant safety between cars of the same weight, in the same class. Just minor reinforcements in a structure can make the difference between life and death - yet so few people are informed about the safety of the cars they drive. For example, it's beyond me that ANYONE would drive a Chevy Venture (http://www.hwysafety.org/vehicle_ratings/ce/html/96026.htm) or a Ford F-150 (http://www.hwysafety.org/vehicle_ratings/ce/html/0110.htm) . Now, I know as well as you do that not every crash is exacted in the same manner, from the same angle and same speed as the tests conducted by the IIHS - but if you can make a simple choice - like wearing a seatbelt or driving a certain car vs. another - that can save your life, why wouldn't you? Would you rather be in the aforementioned Venture, or the Toyota Sienna? (http://www.hwysafety.org/vehicle_ratings/ce/html/97026.htm)

I think the most frustrating aspect for me, if I were to do that line of work, would be the people that don't buckle up their kids, then speed....and the car rolls and everyone's thrown out. I'd want to beat them for being so STUPID as to do something that'd kill their children....it's like neglect.

Anyhow, I appreciate you and the others like you with the stomachs and strength to help others of us in our time of need..and I promise to do my part to make your job easier, by buckling up myself and everyone around me, and buying the safest cars possible. Thanks. :)

well...all car racing is preety much going in circles and drag racing is going in a stright line in 5 seconds, is that more fun? I think most people that don't like NASCAR is because its a really "hick" thing to watch. They don't like to talk on mondays at the office about how they saw a bunch of good ol'boys smashing their Tauruses up to win that critical championship of which American car is the best.
