Maybe I should give up on this wanna-be grease monkey stuff and stick to networks. Yesterday after changing my oil, I was putting the skid plate back on and snapped the heads off one of the bolts. Today I was rotating my tires and the jack collapsed halfway through. What could I do. Eventually it kept collapsing and finally popped itself out. So now what? :bloated:
I can't use a hi-lift, no sliderz mounted yet. And if I buy a floor jack it'll be pretty much useless out on the trail. I figure I have two choices, buy another useless wimpy gutless scissor jack, or get those sliderz ASAP and buy a hi-lift.
Anybody in the Seattle area willing to accept a shipment of sliderz for me? Paying tax and duty to import them into Cambodia ... er Canada, costs too much. Which sliderz are the ones that stick out, EOE right?

Go to an RV store and get a heavier duty scissors jack.
Or a floor jack from Sears. They usually have a pretty good
selection at decent prices.

Jens, I'll be glad to assist you in your purchase! :)
I use a three ton floor jack for changing tires, it only costs $100.00 but is very good quality and very easy to maneuver and virtually tip-proof! :D

I can help with the sliders too if Rick doesn't do it! The catch is that you have to buy me a pair with the money you save! :D
Just kidding...I'll help for beer!

Your Nissan jack is covered under Warranty. Get your dealer to replace it until you get the EOE's and Hi-lift.

It is under warranty? That's Good News. I'm not to sure how this warranty thing works, it's my first new vehicle. In any case, I still need sliders, so guys thanks for the invite I'll do the financial math and see when the right time is to buy 'em. My company is within a hair of getting a much needed investor -- if they sign, I'm still employed, if not ... I'll be flipping burgers and squeeging windows downtown.

Better yet, Does anyone have the dimensions for custom made Sliderz. I have called around town and the cost of metal tubing (the heavy stuff) is next to nothing. I found a place that will Weld it but only if it is cut to specs...I figure it can all be done for about $110 Canadian (2 USD).

Claus!
Use you step rails as a pattern! Only thing is you have two more holes between the front and rear holes that the sliders attach to. These are Calminis but you get the idea, eh?

Just an update on the original point of this thread, it turns out my jack is under warranty, so a new one is coming to me on Monday. Whoohoo!
