thats stupid, you got suspended for that, i got my wrist slaped for that 1 saturday detention i was arrested when i broke a desk with a kids head for shoving me while im sleeping in class,or the girl(the very same girl is my girlfriend) that got knocked unconsious when i threw a math book at a kid that broke my show n tell display.
this all happened my freshman year and it should stay ther highschool is for learning not fighting i learned it the hard way by repeating freshman year. so what if people talk shit if its not true then why bother with it and get in all this trouble. i see some of this stupid shit crossover into college which is retarde because once youre out youre out.
my advice is Grow Up:finger:
now go build me some cars prision bitch(J/k had to throw that in)

hehehe I never been suspended.. the Director of the school wanted that I play football for the school team, so everytime I made something that I should get supended, I didn't :D ahhh it was good time LOL
I never say the idea behind the suspention.. Why punish a student with some day off ?
btw it's a bit worthless

I know, not right saying that, but to me that kinda makes it worthwhile....lol
Where I went to school, a broken nose was no big deal.....
So by the end of the week, we expect to see some progress pics;)
And please stay out of trouble in future, in the long term, it ain't worth it.

Violence is not the answer dude. But it does feel good from time to time.
I admit the geekiness of the hobby. My roommate considers it a little geeky, but I have a huge life outside of modeling, so I just tell him it's a little hobby to burn a few hours a week (I really don't do much modeling, actually).
I think a lot of the bad stigma that comes with the hobby is from our "friends" in the military modeling sector. Those guys tend to be a lot more geeky. "Yeah, well the M4A1 would cut down Optimus Prime, man".

I've got one for you: aircraft AND military. Those keep discussing the number of links in the tracks and the accuracy of the bolts in the landing gear :bloated:

Haha, model companies must hate those guys. All we ask for is an engine, a smooth body, and a good set of rims. Peanuts, IMO.

Sounds harsh.. I get made fun of for all together liking cars. Also for making models. Mainly because Im only in 7th grade, and the kids are so Immature in my school. But that doesnt stop me from making models. I do fight with kids who make fun of me, last year this kid was making fun of me, and this girl had broken her leg, so I got her crutch and bet the shit out of the kid. But my teacher did'nt find out, Ha..

Theres nothing wrong with a hobby that doesn't hurt anyone else. Long as its not an obsession then don't worry what other morons think about it.

In Singapore, most parent are against models making. They said is a waste of money and time. Some of my friends said only kids build models, and all modelers doesn't have a bright future. That's is the worst thing here, and I don't like it. But I still happy of what I did. At lease a right path. my 2cent  :D

Ouch... so they would rather have you exercising (wasting) your creative talents on video games?

Modelling == Fun in life

Yeah. Most of the time, they're considered "toys". It will help you if you plan on going down the career path of car designing, which is what i'm planning to do. One of the steps in designing the car is making it entirely out of clay, and they say that doesn't have anything to do with modeling? Tsk.

people always say modelling is for kids or geeks, So i have a display case at work (toystore/hobby store) and everybody that sees my kits as well as other peoples kits have a change of heart on hobbies.
when they see what they can turn out like. But it also scares alot of beginer modellers that they arn't that good so some explaining goe's on to reassure them and it's all fine
Modelling is cool if anyone disagrees there jelous

They always think that those car with antena are Radio control carz and the shine on the cars are diecast. But, sometime I make fun of them by saying " If you are looking for R/C, pay me S$50 Grands and buy u big R/C!" :hehehe: :hehehe:
I myself want to pro build like my friend, so I still think that this hobby can survive if modelers in singapore keep promoting these hobby to all youngster and explain to those young parent what is these hobby all about? That's why I hope one day, there will be a big show just like IPMS from the rest of the world(except Singapore IPMS, is totally failure to model carz).
Bimmerkid....thanks. Actually I am doing some body myself, now want to try to do whole car in scratch. Btw, what is the material(clay) to do those concept car?
crab...you are right. Japanese parent actually like their children to have these hobby.:)
