04 inner axel on front diff

i am rebuilding my front diff in my 04 2500HD because the seals are leaking bad and it was very low on oil once. now when i use the 4 wheel drive i can here bearings making noise. i got the diff out and split and most of the bearing out with no problem. the olny thing i cant get out is the drivers side axel it will not budge. if any one knows how it comes out the information would be greatly heplfull.

Been a while since I have been into one, but if I remember right, once you take the diff out and split the case, the axle is held into the case by a big nut or something of the like.
